Creating a healthy lifestyle isn’t just a physical game, it’s also a mental one. You know that you have to find an activity you love doing to get yourself moving. You know you’ll have to stand in the kitchen to prep the healthy meals you and your family will eat. You know you’ll have do things that are difficult for you when starting to work out. You know you’ll have to get up early or get off the couch to do work out of food prep. There are lots of physical things involved.

But the most important? Your mental game. You have to believe that you will reach your goal. You have to know that giving up some relaxing time, some of those sugary snacks that you love so much, and perhaps some sleep if you get up extra early will be worth the sacrifice. You have to really want it and know that it will be worth it once you reach your goal (because it will be!). Knowing that your end game is worth the sacrifices you may be making right now will help to carry you through the times when you might want to give up. Don’t give up. If you accept that you will reach your goal no matter what, then there’s no way you can fail.
